Kelli Theis joined Temple Micah as Executive Director in 2017, but she really became part of the community over 20 years ago when she and her family were drawn to the smaller size and intimacy of the congregation and the lovely Park Hill setting of the synagogue. Today, Kelli provides administrative leadership for the community by supervising and directing the operational, financial and programmatic functions of the synagogue. She works in partnership with the Rabbi and the Board of Directors to implement the strategic goals of the community. Before Temple Micah, Kelli was the Executive Director at Hillel of Colorado and has 25 years of corporate experience with Qwest, MCI Telecommunications, and New York Life. She’s also held roles as the Religious School Director and Religious School Teacher at Temple Micah. During her tenure, Kelli has witnessed the true coalescence of community, particularly through the pandemic, when the staff had to adapt quickly to a new reality under her leadership. In her free time, Kelli loves to travel and discover new places and revisit places she already knows and loves, particularly with her family in Denver, Santa Fe and Steamboat Springs. Spending time with her children, husband, friends and pups keep her busy and content.
I like being able to work with the dedicated staff and lay leadership. It's important to me to work for an organization that I am passionate about and one that can benefit from my years of experience.
