Adult Education

All Ages

When our community articulated a need for continued growth and education beyond childhood and adolescence, Temple Micah did what we do best. We collaborated. Through member-generated ideas we developed our unique brand of adult education and we’re ever evolving based on community feedback. Wherever you find yourself in life, and along your spiritual journey, Temple Micah has a place for you. Because you make Micah more Micah.

Micah Boomers +/-

Are you part of the Baby Boomer generation? Rabbi Mo brings together Micah Boomers once a month for discussions on a wide range of topics pertaining to this age group. This is a social bunch so schmoozing and noshing are also highly encouraged.  Boomers meets monthly, all are welcome!  Check out our calendar for the next session.

The Shabbat Tisch

The recipe for this bi-monthly Torah study consists of bagels and coffee, a little singing to keep the spirit, a diverse and thoughtful community and a bissel of schnapps to top it off. The result is a stimulating, provocative discussion of the weekly Torah portion.  The Tisch usually meets after our Shabbat Morning service. All are welcome!  Check out our calendar for the next Tisch.

Kabbalat Panim (Conversion)

As a community we serve as a gateway to those who are curious about living a Jewish life.  Under the tutelage of Rabbi Mo, participants study, reflect, learn and take action to formally become a Jew.

Anshei Mitzvah

It’s never too late to become a B’nai Mitzvah. If you thought you missed your opportunity, think again. Our 18-month program culminates in an Anshei Mitzvah service and celebration for anyone who would like to complete this milestone event.

Mussar

We explore this Jewish practice of learning to live a meaningful and ethical life with individual soul curriculum as well as wisdom and spiritual exercises.

Adult Hebrew

Don’t know your gimel from your beit? Temple Micah offers weekly Hebrew lessons where you will learn the basics as well as the Hebrew alphabet during Religious School on Sunday mornings.
